Jo Smith-Sutherland, is a London based actor. She recently, performed as ‘Sandra’ In ITVs Nolly by Russell T Davies. Also, in TV series ‘Psyched’ by Anca Vadia, Awkward Branch productions.

Her stage performances include: Fine and Dandy, at the Kings Head, Sea Change productions; Still Mad about the boy, Unity arts. Most recently she relished the challenge of performing two very different lead roles on the same night, in the double hander Conquer and the Quest Kibo productions. Her performances utilised both her dramatic and clowning skills and were described as ‘demonstrating excellent vitality and transformativity’  by The performance critic

Jo’s life experience includes, having served as a prison officer and qualifying as a Barrister at law. She is a London based actress (her true vocation), who graduated with ‘distinction’ (Trinity) from the Independent Centre of Actor training. She also enjoys writing, her monologue Hidden in plain sight was recently showcased as part of a new writers initiative at Barrons Court Theatre.
